About
I design and operate immersive experiences for live, public-facing environments — robust, repeatable and built for production use. My focus is education and mediation: groups experience content together in a shared space, guided by educators, guides or hosts. That ranges from history tours and educational institutions to museums, trade shows and showrooms.
With a background spanning Creative Direction, Experience Architecture, and Systems Engineering, I bridge the gap between creative vision and technical delivery. My work prioritizes stability, clarity, and operational control throughout an entire event day.
As a freelancer and co-founder, I've built XR systems that have reliably powered hundreds of live runs in public-facing, production conditions. I think in systems: clear operational flows, synchronized states, and technical structures designed for repeatability — not one-off prototypes.
Today that operational backbone lives entirely in Splexit — the platform that brings everything together: an ecosystem for spatial teaching and mediation in educational, cultural, and outreach institutions.
I don't just build, I also operate. As an entrepreneur I run Splexit essentially on my own: product, development, infrastructure and operations are all in my hands. That includes DevOps: containers, Kubernetes, automated deployments and hardened servers — on infrastructure I run myself.

Bio Version
René Kasperek develops and operates immersive applications for live situations with audiences, with a focus on education and mediation. As co-founder, CTO and experience architect of Blickwinkel Tour, he creates guided VR tours for history education. He runs Splexit, the platform for spatial learning in educational and cultural institutions, essentially on his own as its founder – product, development, infrastructure and operations are all in his hands. Coming from 3D design and software development, he operates his systems himself — including DevOps and infrastructure. In talks and workshops, he shows how context-aware AI changes the operation and design of immersive spaces – and why open source becomes a strategic prerequisite.
